About
Built by a fractional, for fractionals.
SEVRL exists because I got tired of running a real fractional practice on six tools that never met each other. I'm Jeff Lerner, a fractional CMO, and this is the software I wished existed, so I built it.
The spreadsheet that started it
Like most fractionals, my practice ran on a stack: a calendar tool to wrangle multiple client calendars, a project board per client, an invoice generator, a contract service, and a Google Sheet that was supposed to tie the money together and never quite did. Every tool was fine. The practice was invisible.
The moment that mattered: I worked out what my biggest retainer had actually paid me per hour the previous month. The answer was less than I quote new clients. Nothing in my stack had been designed to show me that number, because every tool was built for a different job: agencies, freelancers billing projects, sales teams. Nobody had built for the person running several client engagements as one practice.
Built for my practice first
SEVRL runs my practice today. My calendars feed it, my invoices go out of it, my SOWs get signed in it, and the dashboard tells me each month which engagement is worth it. Every feature exists because the work demanded it, and anything that did not earn its place did not ship. Beta members get the same deal I gave myself: tell me what the work demands, and that is what gets built next.
Who it's for
Fractional executives: CMOs, CFOs, COOs, CTOs running two to eight client engagements at once. Consultants on retainers fit well too. It is deliberately not for agencies or teams; plenty of good software already serves them, and their needs (seats, approvals, resource planning) would bloat exactly what makes SEVRL simple.
What we believe
- Your practice, your numbers. The most important number in a fractional practice is what each client actually pays per hour. You should see it without asking.
- Yours, not ours. No revenue share, no processing fees taken from your invoices, no selling your data, no training AI on it. Your clients pay you directly.
- Tools shouldn't tax the work. If it needs a timer, a manual, or a Friday of data entry, it's another job. SEVRL reads the records you already keep.
- Independent by design. Customer-funded, built lean, priced to be a non-decision. No growth targets that would ever make your data the product.
Run your practice on it
SEVRL is in free private beta for fractional executives. Questions first? Email [email protected] and the founder answers, because the founder is also the support team.
